UGA Theatre programs
As a publicity assistant for UGA Theatre, one of my jobs is to design the programs for theatrical productions using Adobe InDesign. This includes compiling/editing bios, director's notes, & designer notes, arranging necessary elements on pages & spreads, and using UGA Theatre branding guidelines while doing so. With the program being one of the first things an audience has the potential to dive into when seeing a theatrical performance, I like to make sure the audience is being immersed in the world of the show from the second they open the program. It has been thrilling being able to work with different directorial and design teams to make each production come to life!

With this show taking place during 18th-century England, it was important to transport the audience to that era with our design choices. Starting with the cover, it is an etching of the Dashwood sisters on a period-accurate piece of paper. Additionally, throughout the rehearsal process and promotion of the show, there was a heavy motif in "ripping," so I wanted to reference that motif in this program. The cast members participated in a collage-making dramaturgical workshop which is what inspired that visual hallmark for the publicity of our production. We also held a publicity photo shoot on one of our campus’ gardens with the Dashwood sisters and their love interests to tie UGA Theatre-specific elements into the program.

The Finest Hour
-
The Finest Hour was chosen as the student written and produced show to be put on in UGA Theatre’s 2025-26 season. There is a heavy emphasis on time, or lack thereof, in this play—hence the clock on the cover. One of the major themes Layla experiences in the show is the unknown future, not knowing how much time she has left, and being confused about what is next for her. This is why I chose to use the blue “abyss” look for the background of the pages—as a symbol for the unknown.

Evil Dead: the Musical
-
Evil Dead: The Musical is a campy, comic, and terror-filled rock musical adaptation of the b-movies Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2. With this program, we really wanted to encapsulate elements of the films while also telling our own story. We utilized Blender to create stills of the portal, necronomicon, and Knowby's office (key elements of the storyline) as well as our own publicity shoot to successfully tie the two worlds together!

The Revolutionists
-
Made unique by its mixture of comedy and realism, The Revolutionists tells the story of four women as they confront the problematic regime during the French Revolution.
My first UGA Theatre program! The goal was to tie in historical elements from the show while seamlessly blending our actors into the time period. We used Blender to create the guillotine and the cake, and held a publicity shoot with two of our actors in costume to make this happen.
